Why do you recommend saline spray to clean piercings?

01

Saline spray is gentle, effective, and non-irritating—just what your new piercing needs to heal! It helps rinse away dirt, bacteria, and crusty buildup without disrupting your body’s natural healing process. Harsh soaps or cleaning agents can dry out or irritate the skin, making saline spray the gold standard for piercing aftercare.

Why shouldn’t I sleep on my piercings?

02

Sleeping on your new piercing can put pressure on it, leading to irritation, swelling, or even crooked healing. The friction from your pillowcase can also introduce bacteria, increasing the risk of infection. To keep your piercing happy and healing properly, try sleeping on your back or using a  travel pillow.

We get it—it’s tempting to fiddle with your new jewelry! But twisting or rotating it can irritate the delicate tissue around your piercing, delay healing, and introduce bacteria. Your body is doing its job of healing from the inside out, so let it work its magic without interruption!

Healing times vary depending on the piercing location and your individual body. While the surface may appear healed in a few weeks, the thicker/deeper tissue often needs 4-6 months to fully recover. Patience is key—keeping up with proper aftercare ensures your piercing stays healthy for the long haul.

Threadless and internally threaded jewelry are designed with your safety and comfort in mind. Unlike externally threaded jewelry, which can scrape and damage the healing tissue, these styles have smooth surfaces that minimize irritation. push-pin and internally threaded styles have smooth surfaces that minimize irritation. While internally threaded jewelry is secure, it can be harder to change on your own and may have a tendency to loosen and fall out more easily. Push-pin jewelry offers a secure fit while being easier to change, making it a great choice for hassle-free healing!
